2024 Midwest Home Magazine Design Award for Biophilic Design

We are honored to be recognized at the 2024 Midwest Home Magazine Design Awards for Biophilic Design, a category celebrating the integration of nature into living spaces. This project was built in collaboration with the talented and amazing Christina Lynn Interiors, whose expertise beautifully brought nature-inspired elements into the home.
Completed in 2023, this home resides in the serene Conservation Development of Jackson Meadows in Marine on St. Croix. A true reflection of biophilic principles blended with Japandi aesthetics, the design creates a flowing, light-filled environment that immerses its inhabitants in nature. Sustainability was a key focus, and features like a subsurface flow constructed wetland underscore the commitment to eco-conscious living.
Organic materials such as warm woods and natural stone were chosen with care to evoke the beauty of the outdoors. The interiors feature wooden light fixtures, arched ceilings, and expansive windows that frame picturesque views, filling the space with natural light and serenity. The minimalist decor, enriched with greenery, enhances the connection to nature while maintaining a tranquil ambiance.
At the heart of this home is a handcrafted wood tub, a centerpiece of craftsmanship and a testament to the harmonious integration of beauty, sustainability, and functionality. Every element was thoughtfully designed to balance modern comfort with a deep respect for natural principles.
We are deeply honored to receive this award and grateful to Midwest Home Magazine for recognizing this unique collaboration. Special thanks to Christina Lynn Interiors for bringing this nature-inspired elegant home to life. This home is more than a living space—it’s a sanctuary that connects deeply to the natural world.
